UPDATE 2-Botswana holds monetary policy rate at 2.65%

Botswana's central bank kept its monetary policy rate unchanged at 2.65% on Thursday, saying it expected inflation to remain within the target range in the medium term. However, inflation is expected to drop further to 5.7% in May, Bank of Botswana Governor Moses Pelaelo told a news conference. "Inflation is therefore projected to be within the objective range in the medium term."
